We are excited to welcome local artist and contributor to our mural, Dianne Valenzuela of Daydreamn D Art to Xanadu Astoria for 2nd Saturday Art Walk, October 14th starting at 12pm. Dianne is a multi-media and multi-disciplinary artist based out of Astoria. She draws inspiration from nature, fungi, and music, with a focus on sustainable practices. ”The name of my show is Ghosts in Bloom. It features sheet ghosts in front of florals and fungi painted on colorful upcycled wood plaques to adorn your walls and remind you that though we are impermanent and fade away, nature keeps expanding and flourishing. Maybe you can take some comfort and beauty from that in the way that I do.
